Best Food Finds at the 2025 Winter Fancy Food Show

Writer's picture: EmilyEmily

The Winter Fancy Food Show is always an exciting place to discover new and innovative specialty foods, and this year’s event in Las Vegas did not disappoint. From unique snacks to gourmet cheeses, there was no shortage of delicious finds. If you love exploring new flavors, here are some of my top picks from the show!

1. Shiver Sticks

Imagine a snow cone texture, but in a convenient, freezable tube. Shiver Sticks come from a beloved snow cone stand in Longview, Texas, and they’ve transformed their homemade syrups into a portable frozen treat. I tried the Pineapple Coconut, Strawberry Pineapple, and Strawberry Vanilla flavors, and they were all incredible. I can’t wait to see this brand grow because I'm obsessed!

2. Whipzi Flavored Powdered Sugar

Flavored powdered sugar? This is something I’ve never seen before! Whipzi’s flavored powdered sugar is designed for meringues, royal icing, buttercream, and—most excitingly—macarons. Since macarons can be tricky to get just right, having the flavor already infused into the powdered sugar makes them that much easier to perfect. They offer flavors like Strawberry Chocolate, Lemon, Peppermint, and Gingerbread. Keep an eye out for these at World Market soon!

3. Nooish Matzo Ball Soup

A game-changer for matzo ball soup lovers! Nooish has created an instant, microwaveable matzo ball soup that delivers comforting flavors in minutes. While I’m no matzo ball soup expert, I thought it was absolutely delicious and a brilliant concept for busy people who want a quick and cozy meal.

4. Vermont Creamery Goat Cheese Strawberry Spritz

There were a lot of cheeses at the show, but this one stood out. It’s a creamy, spreadable goat cheese with a strawberry flavor—basically, strawberry cream cheese, but elevated. It’s perfect for breakfast, snacking, or pairing with crackers.

5. Melona Ice Cream Bars

Touted as Korea’s best-selling ice cream bars, these soft and creamy popsicles come in flavors like Taro and Ube. I tried both and had a hard time putting them down! You can find these at H-Mart and other international grocery stores.

6. Salsa Queen Freeze-Dried Salsa

Salsa Queen is a woman-owned brand I’ve seen at Costco, but their new freeze-dried salsa caught my attention. It’s perfect for camping or travel since it’s lightweight—just add water, and you have fresh salsa! Flavors include Mango Pineapple, and you can find it online or at Bass Pro Shops.

7. Nutrail Protein Granola

This granola checks all the boxes—no added sugar, 2g or less of total sugar, 3g net carbs, and grain-free. I’m usually a Honey Bunches of Oats/honey granola kind of person, and their Oats & Honey flavor was fantastic. You can find it at Sam’s Club, HEB, and Walmart.

8. Reggie Bars Are Back!

Baseball legend Reggie Jackson was at the show promoting the return of Reggie Bars. Last seen in the ’90s, these remind me of chocolate turtles but with peanuts instead of pecans. A nostalgic treat making a comeback!

9. New Kraft Mac & Cheese and Oscar Mayer Bacon Cheddar Popcorn

Kraft introduced a Mac & Cheese popcorn that tasted like classic cheddar popcorn with a hint of that signature mac & cheese powder. Oscar Mayer’s Bacon Cheddar Popcorn surprised me—I actually liked it better! The bacon flavor wasn’t overwhelming, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to buy either of these.

10. Belgioioso Artigiano Blood Orange Cheese

This semi-firm cheese has a sweet, nutty flavor with a citrusy blood orange twist. It’s a unique and fun flavor combo, and I’ve already spotted it at Randall’s!

11. Lady Babka

A babka brand born in Austin, Texas! One of the owners, Sariel, is a friend of mine, and I’m a huge fan of their handmade babkas in Chocolate, Butter Pecan, and Original Cinnamon flavors. Babka is a Jewish sweet bread that tastes like a less-sweet cinnamon roll, and since it takes a long time to make, having a high-quality, ready-to-eat option is amazing. You can find Lady Babka at Austin Farmers Markets and Central Market.

12. Ptashka's Ukrainian Crepes

Another favorite find at the show was Ptashka's Ukrainian crepes. This mother-daughter business started in Michigan, bringing traditional family recipes from Odessa, Ukraine, to the U.S. These handcrafted crepes are made with fresh, local ingredients and no preservatives, giving them a homemade taste in a convenient, ready-to-eat format. I was lucky enough to try many of the flavors, and they are all SO good. If you're in Texas, you can find them at four Central Market locations: Dallas Lovers Lane, Plano, San Antonio, and Fort Worth. Plus, a portion of their proceeds supports United Help Ukraine, making these crepes even more special.

The Winter Fancy Food Show is all about discovering the next big thing in specialty foods. Think of it as a sneak peek at the kinds of products you’ll soon see in stores like Central Market. This year was heavy on cheese (no complaints here!), but there were also some truly creative and unique new food innovations. Which of these would you love to try first?
